As a Design Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to create accurate and timely 3D CAD drawings. These technical drawings form the foundation for successful manufacturing and ensure that all customer-specific requirements are precisely met. This role sits at the heart of the design and engineering function, supporting a wide range of activities-from processing day-to-day orders to contributing to strategic development projects. You will play a key role in enabling engineering design updates, supporting continuous product improvement, and actively participating in the New Product Introduction (NPI) process. This includes the creation of technical drawings, 3D models, and supporting documentation for the launch of new, innovative solutions in line with growth and development strategy. Your work will involve close collaboration with multiple departments including production, quality, planning, sales, and R&D, ensuring that the solutions delivered are cost-effective, high quality, and fully manufacturable. In addition, you will be expected to support the ongoing enhancement of internal design standards, drawing practices, and data management. This position also requires flexibility, as you may be asked to undertake additional tasks or projects as directed by your line manager, contributing to the wider goals of the business.
