General Engineering Technologists & Technicians support engineers in the design, modification, and improvement of products/processes.
Activities include but are not limited to;
- Identifying and recommending improvements/preventive actions,
- inspecting, testing, maintaining, repairing, and installing equipment and systems.
- Monitor processes, estimates costs, makes or verifies calculations
- Analyse and interpret data.
- Tests new and modified products, processes, and/or systems.
- Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision.
- Coaching and reviewing the work of lower level professionals.
- Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.
- Experienced Damper Build Engineer with proven track record of producing bespoke / prototype damper specification builds in a range of different damper technologies.
- Good IT skills, experience of running rating measurement equipment and processing results.
- Background in Automotive, either OEM, supplier or motorsport/specialist businesses.
- Position would be joining a team of build engineers working on a double day-shift pattern and so this would be expected.
- Minimum 2 years experience in the field, Automotive OEM prototype, supplier or motorsport/specialist.
- Physical, hands-on experience is essential.
- Engineering degree or other formal relevant training/education is desirable.
- Must be willing to take part in a mechanical trial / skills test hand building a damper.
