An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Group OEM & Body Builder Programme Manager to join a global leader in vehicle safety technology.

This organisation is recognised internationally for delivering innovative safety solutions across commercial vehicles and mobile machinery sectors, supporting customers worldwide through cutting-edge engineering and product development.

This is a highly visible role focused on managing strategic OEM and Body Builder partnerships, driving programme delivery, and supporting international business growth across both established and emerging markets.

The Role

As Group OEM & Body Builder Programme Manager, you will take ownership of key OEM customer programmes from concept through to engineering release and production integration.

Acting as the central point of contact between customers and internal teams, you will coordinate cross-functional activities across engineering, commercial, operations, procurement, and supply chain functions to ensure programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

You will also play a key role in identifying and developing new international OEM and Body Builder opportunities, helping to drive long-term commercial growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage strategic OEM and Body Builder customer relationships
  • Lead multiple programmes through full project lifecycles
  • Coordinate engineering, commercial, operational, and procurement workstreams
  • Drive programme governance and gate review adherence
  • Support international business development and market expansion activities
  • Conduct market analysis and identify target customer opportunities
  • Monitor programme performance, profitability, KPIs, and forecasting
  • Lead change management and commercial negotiations
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and successful programme delivery

About You

We are looking for a commercially minded programme manager with strong technical understanding and experience working within OEM, automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, or engineering-led environments.

You will possess excellent stakeholder management skills and be confident leading cross-functional projects in a fast-paced global business.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in OEM account management, programme management, or technical project leadership
  • Strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes
  • Experience managing complex customer programmes
  • Commercially aware with strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively
  • Experience using CRM/ERP and project management systems
  • Degree qualified or equivalent commercial experience

Desirable

  • Experience within automotive, vehicle technology, commercial vehicle, or aerospace sectors
  • Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Project, Power BI, PLM systems, Monday.com, Business Central, or Phocas
