About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Infotainment Engineering - Engineer C to support a leading automotive programme within the infotainment engineering space. This role is focused on advanced problem solving, requirements validation, data capture, and cross-functional collaboration within a fast-paced engineering environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, triage specialists, and Product Owners to support the delivery and stability of infotainment systems across critical vehicle programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and validate infotainment requirements to ensure intended functionality has been delivered
  • Identify and flag deviations from expected system behaviour
  • Capture and analyse critical diagnostic data including:
    • DLT logs
    • Wireshark traces
    • VLAN data
    • CAN logs
    • SOME/IP data
  • Support issue triage and root cause investigations for critical and showstopper issues
  • Collaborate with internal and external suppliers to drive rapid issue resolution
  • Work closely with triage teams to resolve system-level infotainment issues
  • Apply industry-standard problem-solving methodologies to improve resolution efficiency
  • Support ad-hoc engineering requests within a dynamic and evolving environment
  • Engage with Product Owners to facilitate solutions across multiple engineering teams

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience capturing and interpreting:
    • Wireshark logs
    • VLAN traces
    • DLT logs
    • CAN data
    • SOME/IP communications
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma problem-solving techniques including:
    • 5 Whys
    • Fishbone Analysis
    • IS / IS NOT analysis
  • Familiarity with Snapshot and Corvus diagnostic tools
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite:
    • Excel
    • PowerPoint
    • Word
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced automotive engineering environment
