This role is to manage execution of the SUMS test cases for SOTA (Software Over The Air) Deployment and Integration Compatibility validation for every SUMS Pack.

Dynamic customer function tests (class 2)
Extracting snapshots (creation & analysis)

This role is to support the technical validation of our Integrated SUMS Software Packs to ensure core functions are not compromised by the Software changes. Working closely with the SUMS technicians to review the outcomes of the test cases and investigate any issues
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Understanding of IVS (In Vehicle Software) EBOM lineages
Analysing Software Levels on Customer Cars and Internal Fleets (using various data sources such as Tableau / vehicle Snapshots)
Understanding different calibration files and work out which belong to which vehicle variants to guide the team to use the correct one to use and trouble shoot issues relating to incorrect Software / calibration files being put on cars
Use of DTC Diagnostic Information (DMD / Part 2 / Diagnostic Data Authoring/ ODX) used in conjunction with the Engineers to quickly understand issues that might log on the vehicles.

The BoM Engineering team within Product Information is responsible for creating, configuring, maintaining and interrogating the Bill of Material in the early phases of programmes. The team support Engineering within each Centre of Competence (CoC), building relationships with, and guiding Engineers through the BoM creation and management process.
