The Opportunity
In support of SUMS (Software Update Management System), for which all software changes intended for our customer vehicles must follow as part of Regulation UNECE 156. We require a number of additional roles to support optimal delivery of our software packs.
This role is within the Software over the Air group. The role will focus on delivering data from tests in support of design release activity, technology advancement and software pack deployment.
The main activity is to prepare test properties for Test, Test Case Authoring, Test Case Execution and Test Verdict post processing. In addition, this role may contribute to the collection of data in a wide range of environments such as on, HIL Rigs, public roads and proving grounds

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Identify suitable test platforms to execute vehicle/System test cases using virtual and physical test environments
- Executes manual and automated testing (structured and non-structured)
- Raise issues with supporting logs and evidence of non-compliance
- Use of Automation Framework to develop Test Scripts
- Ensures robust test coverage for requirements and variants
- Provide technical expertise in the measurement of data
- To collate, manipulate and interpret data which will be used to inform engineering decisions
- To plan, coordinate and control the activities for a small team in order to achieve objectives
- Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested
Essential:
- Technical expertise and experience of test facility and test part preparation
- Experienced with data acquisition and control systems.
- Data analysis and reporting of test data.
- Natural problem-solver with structured approach to problem solving in a technical environment.
- The ability to validate, prepare and read engineering documents.
- Computer literate, including Microsoft Office competency to produce plans, presentations, graphs, process and Single Point Lesson (SPL) documents.
- A full UK driving license with less than 6 penalty points, no disqualification, 2 years accident-free record
- Experience in XRAY/JIRA Test Authoring Environment
- Experience and certification for conducting testing on proving grounds.
- Proficient in the use and application of a programming / scripting language (C/C++, python, Java, or similar)
- Educated to Degree level in a Systems, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic or related field.
