This role focuses on analysing complex data sets, building advanced Excel models, and developing Tableau dashboards to drive operational readiness and performance. Ideal candidates will have strong data analysis skills, experience with Excel and visualisation tools, and the ability to translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in optimising global supply chain processes within a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

The Opportunity
Trading Division (TD) is an area within the Import and Export Operations (IEO) which supports the development of new and existing markets through the construction of global supply chain networks, supplying products for vehicles built in the UK and overseas. Trading Division has a key role to play to ensure that the business reinforces itself as a truly global company.

The Launch Readiness department is responsible for the operational readiness of all new imported parts sourced through Trading Division. The team ensure the TD warehouse operations are ready to receive, process and ship new parts, from inbound delivery out to plant in the most efficient and sustainable way possible.

This role focuses on turning raw data into clear, actionable insights. You'll work with large spreadsheets, build advanced Excel formulas (including custom logic using functions or scripting), and develop dashboards and performance metrics in Tableau. This role suits someone who enjoys digging into data, spotting patterns, and presenting information in a way that supports confident decision making.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyse and interpret data from multiple sources, primarily in Excel
  • Build advanced formulas, functions, and logic to automate calculations
  • Develop dashboards and visual reports in Tableau
  • Maintain data accuracy and ensure reporting consistency
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Present insights in a clear, accessible way for non technical stakeholders
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Strong Excel skills, including advanced formulas, data manipulation and VBA scripting
  • Ability to write or adapt code based logic (e.g., Excel VBA scripting or formula driven automation)
  • Experience in data transformation, cleansing and building dashboards and metrics in Tableau
  • A curious, analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • Confidence working with data and explaining insights
  • Experience working within a supply chain or warehouse operation role would be an additional advantage
