Duties:
- Component design and release role for suspension mechanical and hydraulic components.
- Responsible for working with multiple potential suppliers to develop components from concept selection through to launch.
- Collating and agreeing requirements with internal stakeholders, and agreeing/negotiating these design requirements with potential suppliers
- Co-ordinating internal/supplier development activities to finalise product specifications
- Work with Procurement to manage supplier selection processes
- Managing chosen suppliers towards delivering quality products on-time and to cost and attribute targets
- Working within the PCDS process, deliver Gateway requirements for components owned
Essential
- Experience of working with automotive suppliers for mechanical and/or hydraulic components
- Experience of component development and design verification planning and management
- Experience of on-cycle product and programme delivery processes
- Excellent communication skills and team player
- Knowledge of hydraulics principles and underlying physics
- Experience in using Matlab for data analysis
- Experience of using quality toolset e.g. DFMEA
- Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
