Join a leading automotive engineering company in Warwickshire as a Project Engineer, managing complex engineering projects from concept through to delivery. This role involves preparing designs, project schedules, budgets, and specifications, coordinating resources, and ensuring operational plans are executed efficiently. Duties:
General Project Engineering focuses on designing, communicating, and implementing an operational plan for completing an engineering-based project including:
- Preparing designs, project controls and specifications, schedules, cost estimates, production, transportation, installation, testing and/or commissioning of new infrastructure, facilities, equipment, etc.
- Monitoring progress and performance against the project plan; taking action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays Identifying, developing, and gathering the resources necessary to complete the project
- May include preparing engineering standards, designs and work specifications; developing project schedules, budgets and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors
- Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision.
- Coaching and reviewing the work of lower level professionals.
- Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.
- Delivery of new test facilities, including test rigs of vehicles, vehicle systems and components, this can also be civil developments across these areas also
- Discussing with suppliers and internal stakeholders on project requirements and plans
- Using JIRA to track work to be completed and work done
- Ensure rig development is scoped out, designed, delivered and handover with a governance system akin to PRINCE2/APM
In terms of hybrid working there is no defined "in work" days, the expectation is a significant onsite presence in the first 3 months of the contract and following that at least 3 days on site and on site when and if they need to be at points of project delivery etc.
