About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to ensure that precision-manufactured components meet strict engineering and customer standards. The role involves inspecting parts at all stages of production, using a range of measuring tools and CMM equipment, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities

Inspect incoming materials, in-process parts, and final products to verify compliance with drawings and tolerances.

Operate and program measuring equipment, including micrometers, gauges, and CMM systems.

Record inspection data, raise non-conformance reports, and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

Maintain calibration records and ensure all inspection tools are serviceable.

Liaise with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and drive improvement.

Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and internal quality procedures.
Skills & Experience

Proven experience in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.

Skilled in the use of a wide range of metrology tools; CMM experience (Aberlink Axiom preferred) is advantageous.

Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.

High attention to detail and accuracy under pressure.

Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Proactive approach to quality improvement and teamwork.

Experience within automotive, powertrain, or transmission manufacturing.

Knowledge of lean or Six Sigma principles.

Relevant engineering or quality qualification
