About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to ensure that precision-manufactured components meet strict engineering and customer standards. The role involves inspecting parts at all stages of production, using a range of measuring tools and CMM equipment, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming materials, in-process parts, and final products to verify compliance with drawings and tolerances.

  • Operate and program measuring equipment, including micrometers, gauges, and CMM systems.

  • Record inspection data, raise non-conformance reports, and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

  • Maintain calibration records and ensure all inspection tools are serviceable.

  • Liaise with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and drive improvement.

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and internal quality procedures.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.

  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.

  • Skilled in the use of a wide range of metrology tools; CMM experience (Aberlink Axiom preferred) is advantageous.

  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy under pressure.

  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Proactive approach to quality improvement and teamwork.

Desirable

  • Experience within automotive, powertrain, or transmission manufacturing.

  • Knowledge of lean or Six Sigma principles.

  • Relevant engineering or quality qualification
