On behalf of our prestigious automotive client, we are seeking a Vehicle Integration Leader to drive the development and integration of vehicle architectures across both new and existing programmes. This role is pivotal in leading the integration of emerging technologies, ensuring delivery against functional and attribute targets, and acting as the voice of the customer to guide technical decision-making and arbitration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and act as the technical authority for whole vehicle integration, ensuring alignment with GRID, system strategies, and functional targets
- Drive cross-functional integration to reduce complexity and deliver efficient, high-quality engineering solutions
- Collaborate with the Vehicle Attribute Robustness team to embed design quality, serviceability, and manufacturing requirements
- Manage vehicle technical data progression (CAD, DV, AIMS, build, test, release) in partnership with engineering teams
- Oversee definition and delivery of the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) across virtual and physical validation phases
- Lead cross-functional issue resolution, ensuring timely escalation to Programme or Architecture leadership where required
- Identify and escalate technical risks, blockers, and incompatibilities through the appropriate governance channels
- Support feasibility studies and Agile spike activities to resolve complex engineering challenges
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong automotive engineering background with deep technical expertise across vehicle, system, and component integration
- Proven ability to analyse complex interactions and make robust technical decisions
- Experience validating technical assumptions, standards, and system designs
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
- Demonstrated leadership experience using structured methodologies (e.g. 8D, Six Sigma)
- Solid project management experience delivering against complex programme requirements
- Customer-focused mindset with commitment to high-quality outcomes
- Proactive with strong interest in emerging technologies and industry trends
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Resilient and confident in challenging stakeholders while building trust
- Strong leadership capability managing cross-functional teams
