An exciting opportunity for a Cockpit Test & Verification Engineer to join a leading automotive engineering team, supporting the development, testing, and validation of cockpit systems and components across new vehicle programmes. This role focuses on design verification, test planning, BOM management, supplier coordination, and programme tracking to ensure successful delivery of cockpit engineering activities. Ideal for candidates with experience in automotive test and development, design verification processes, engineering standards, and cross-functional programme support within OEM or Tier 1 environments.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Checking all appropriate standards are met through-out design maturation
• Setting up the test and development plan for several new cockpit programmes
• Managing RMDV (management tracking system) deck for respective programmes, setting and cascading targets to relevant areas. New system on XRAY & TRM in process of being rolled out.
• Following a detailed test timing plan.
• Creating and updating Bill of Materials for test parts
• Obtaining quotes from suppliers and test houses to complete plan and liaising with value for money team to gain approval.
• Preparing parts for testing, evaluating results, resolving any problems arising, writing reports and filing back to RMDV.
• Liaising with the responsible supplier teams to ensure test plan is on track.
• Daily interface / programme communication will be to the Cockpit Module Leader.
• Keep all Module documentation up to date including:
• Meeting minutes
• Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential:

• Previous experience of resolution of business, technical and process issues within a Project Team environment
• Degree qualified or equivalent experience preferred
• A good understanding of the Digi buck and Design Verification processes are required
• An understanding of Engineering Standards and Test Procedures

Desirable:

• Previous experience within engineering or programme planning departments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong influencing and engagement skills
• A good working knowledge of product creation & delivery, change control, product definition and change management processes
