Join a globally recognised automotive manufacturer supporting the launch of next-generation vehicle programmes. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in vehicle launch readiness, providing hands-on electrical integration and diagnostic support across manufacturing and testing environments. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge vehicle systems, lead issue resolution activities, and collaborate with engineering and plant teams to ensure successful vehicle launches within a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
Duties:
Electrical Engineering researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
Responsibilities typically include:
- Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision.
- Coaching and reviewing the work of lower level professionals.
- Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.
- Part of the wider launch team, supporting new vehicle launch readiness.
- Previous launch experience around End of line and integration support mandatory
- Canalyer and other Dev-aids experience essential
- The role is Onsite support and will vary across various vehicle related systems
- Ability to work on their own and as part of a Launch team
- Must have a driving license as may be required to move vehicles and verify functionality
- Ability to ready Electrical diagrams and experience of vehicle launch's
Key Discipline: Electrical Launch
Over the next 24 months, the company will launch at least four new vehicles. These roles are designed to strengthen plant launch capability by bringing in the technical expertise required to ensure successful programme delivery.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead daily issue management for defects identified within Plant Manufacturing and during vehicle road testing, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
- Develop into the subject matter expert for Electrical launch, providing guidance and technical support to plant electrical teams (including V-CATS) and electrical repair associates.
- Good understanding of Networks and capturing vehicle Logs (Can Alyser , ASL , Putty and DLT logs)
- Act as the primary liaison between the manufacturing facility and core engineering teams, presenting issues with unmistakable evidence such as vehicle logs and other relevant diagnostic information.( Current experience within Infotainment systems and Body systems will be a positive)
- Be based primarily at the Manufacturing facility, with occasional work required at other sites, like our Gaydon Engineering Centre.
Working hours:
- Halewood: 07:15 - 15:45
- Solihull: 07:30 - 16:00
Equipment and training provided, including laptops and diagnostic peripherals. Current experts will deliver training; however, prior experience in Electrical Launch is essential.

Skills:
- Conversant with software download tools
- Able to work in a launch Enviroment
- Motivated and good understanding of vehicle launch and supporting plant actvities and crisis reviews
- Quality mindset essential
Education:
- Computer lierate.
- Educated to HNC or degree level.
