Duties
- The position is responsible for the engineering integration process for vehicle architectures. Responsibilities include:
- Design and develop the vehicle technical specifications and attributes across vehicle architectures
- Lead and resolve complex multifunctional engineering problems. Be able to balance competing attributes and requirements to define the optimum engineering solution.
- Analysis of current and future technologies and competitor products to ensure the future competitiveness of business products by influencing business strategies
- Coaching, reviewing and delegating work to lower level professionals.
- Problems faced are difficult and often complex.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Knowledge of whole vehicle engineering and cross-functional vehicle systems
- Enthusiasm for vehicles and their development
- Strong communication skills and ability to interpret technical information
- Good IT literacy e.g. ability to create and manage presentations and spreadsheets
- Full UK driving license
- Previous experience of whole vehicle development and validation
- Previous experience of problem solving tools, e.g. Six sigma methods
- Previous experience of leading technical issue resolution
