The position is responsible for the engineering integration process. Responsibilities include:
- Creation of vehicle concept proposals in the form of vehicle architecture package layouts.
- Creation of outline component and system proposals to further the vehicle package development.
- Definition and development of detailed vehicle packages at the whole vehicle or package zone level.
- Tracking and monitoring resolution of all geometric issues within a package zone.
- Mediation and negotiation between CoC areas to develop solutions for geometric issues within a package zone.
- At least 2 years experience in product development within vehicle integration or packaging role
- Experience of CATIA V5 & V6 for detail or packaging design and geometric integration
- Well rounded knowledge of chassis & propulsion systems and sub systems
- Experience of negotiating solutions in an area of technical conflict
- Experience of using benchmarking tools to support idea generation
- Experience of CATIA for detail or packaging design. (Other 3D CAD experience will be considered)
- Good communication skills - written, graphical and verbal
- Experience of negotiating solutions in an area of technical conflict
