An exciting opportunity for an Infotainment Systems Engineer to join a leading automotive engineering team in Warwickshire, supporting advanced infotainment and connected vehicle programmes. This role focuses on infotainment problem solving, requirements validation, diagnostic data capture, and issue triage using tools such as Wireshark, CAN, DLT, VLAN, and SOME/IP. Ideal for candidates with experience in automotive infotainment systems, software diagnostics, root cause analysis, and cross-functional engineering support within fast-paced OEM environments.

Duties:
Infotainment Engineering focus shal be on problem solving, data capture using various tools & techniques, requirements capture within the Infotainment Space. The work includes:

• Reviewing requirements to ensure the intended functionality has been delivered and where there is a deviation, flag this
• Capture critical data to support issue triage & problem solving such as DLT, Wireshark, VLAN, CAN logs, SOMEIP etc
• Work with internal and external suppliers to ensure issues are being resolved as quickly as possible
• Support investigations on critical / showstopper issues to mitigate programme delays
• Work with the Triage team to problem solve key issues across multiple layers of the infotainment system
• Apply industry best practice to resolve key issues as efficently as possible
• As this is a fast pace environment, you wil face regular ad-hoc requests and therefore must be willing to work outside your comfort zone and agreed R&Rs
• Engage with the Product Owners within the Infotainment space, delivering solutions to various problems and be a facilitator between teams

• Capture & understand Wireshark/VLAN/DLT/CAN/SOMEIP logs
• Six Sigma Problem Solving Techniques - 5-whys, Fishbone Analysis ,IS IS NOT
• Familiarity of Snapshot / Corvus Tools
• Microsoft Office Suite INC Excel / PPT / Word

• BEng in an Software/Electrical engineering disicpline
• Greenbelt Certification
