Key Responsibilities
- Act as the liaison between business users and IT teams to understand and deliver technology-based solutions.
- Identify and analyse business needs, gathering requirements and defining project scope and objectives.
- Translate business requirements into clear and actionable application/system requirements.
- Analyse existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement through technology or alternative use of existing systems.
- Research and document business requirements, processes, data, applications and system relationships.
- Critically evaluate information from multiple sources, resolving conflicts and distinguishing user requests from underlying business needs.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders throughout the requirements and delivery process.
- Liaise between business departments, technology teams and support functions to ensure requirements are clearly understood and delivered.
- Support wider business initiatives using project management and business analysis expertise.
- Ensure agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are understood and maintained.
- Produce high-quality, accurate and professional written documentation and maintain strong standards across all project materials.
- Work independently with general supervision while influencing stakeholders through clear communication, evidence and recommendations.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience working in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis or Business Systems Analysis.
- Strong understanding of business processes and requirements gathering.
- Experience working collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- The ability to analyse complex information, identify key requirements and recommend practical solutions.
- Experience acting as a conduit between business users and IT/technology teams.
- Strong written and documentation skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience supporting business projects and initiatives using project management expertise.
- A proactive and structured approach, with the ability to work independently.
- Experience working within or against Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
- Candidates with strong practical experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis or IT Business Systems Analysis will also be considered.
