An exciting opportunity for a Project & Program Management Office (PMO) Manager to join a leading automotive organisation in Warwickshire on a maternity cover contract, supporting the successful delivery of complex software and technology programmes. This role focuses on PMO governance, Agile programme management, project reporting, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and continuous improvement across global cross-functional teams. Ideal for candidates with experience in software programme delivery, Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban), Jira, Confluence, and PMO leadership within fast-paced engineering or technology environments.

Duties
General Program Management Office (PMO) is accountable for providing central expertise, support, and control for an organization's projects/programs including:
- Developing program/project management best practices/templates and providing training/mentoring to project teams
- Monitoring dependencies across multiple inter-related projects
- Gathering and reporting consolidated project status and financial information to leadership
- In some organisations may serve as a central governing body to review/audit adherence to methodologies, budgets, and timing
- In some organizations may provide full staffing and management for the organization's major projects/programs
Responsibilities typically include:
- Policy and strategy implementation for short-term results (1 year or less)
- Problems faced are difficult to moderately complex
- Influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices and procedures
- Proven track record of delivering complex software programmes in Agile environment with global cross-functional teams, on time and within budget
- Significant experience working in a technical environment with cross functional teams
- Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to identify how one issue can impact another and implement required interventions
- Significant experience of project management in software development environments
- Ability to communicate with individuals from both technical and non-technical backgrounds and present content in a meaningful, clear and concise way
- Ability to coach teams to be self-organising and maintain consistent velocity
- Experienced with Agile frameworks (SCRUM, Kanban, SAFe) and Agile planning tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Formal project management certification advantageous (Agile PSM, SAFe, PMP, Prince2)
- Understanding of software development processes and continuous delivery
